Saturday, March 28th, at 10:00 am -12:00 pm, meet in the trail’s parking lot
With this beautiful weather, it is difficult to stay inside. So we need to get outside and enjoy it. Let’s get together and hike on one of our well known state trails in the Northern-Highland-American Legion State Forest. The Fallison Trail is 2.5 miles with some moderate uphills and winds around the 50 acre Fallison Lake. Because of this warm weather spell we are having, the trail’s condition is unknown for next Saturday’s hike. You may want to bring snowshoes, hiking boots (I know some wear tennis shoes, but won’t mention any names) and cleats. The trail is located between Sayner and Boulder Junction and is about 47 minutes from Rhinelander and 17 minutes from Minocqua. After the event we may want to socialize at a local establishment in the area. Hope you can join us on this early spring adventure. – J
Directions from Rhinelander: Take Hwy 47 north to Woodruff and turn right on to Hwy 51 north. Turn right on to Hwy M for 2.7 miles. Turn right on to Hwy N for 2.4 miles and the state parking lot (fire #10031) is on the right. The parking lot is across the road from the state’s Crystal Lake/Muskellunge Lake Campground.
A donation of $5.00 per event is requested for non-NPT members which can be paid at the event. Membership for NPT is $10.00/year. To become a NPT member go to northernpaddleandtrail.org and click in the upper righthand corner and find membership.
RSVP Cal Siegrist at calvinsiegrist@gmail.com or 920-221-9292 or go to meetup.com/northern-paddle-trail and click on Attend. Hope you can join us on the trail.
