Monday, September 14th, NPT Book Club monthly meeting. at the Rhinelander District Library from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm. In the lower level conference room.
All NPT members are invited to attend any of the monthly meetings. The major theme of the books that are selected are based on some aspect of nature. You’re welcome to join in at any time, or just sit in and listen to our lively discussions. Our next read is a novel entitled The Loop by Nicholas Evans. (Author of The Horse Whisperer.) The story centers around Helen Ross, a biologist who comes to Montana to try to save the wolves that are being indiscriminately slaughtered by ranchers and townsfolk. There is an ancient hatred toward wolves in Hope, MT and it isn’t an easy task to change people’s thinking of this endangered animal. I read this story many years ago, found it extremely interesting, and am looking forward to reading it again. We hope to see you in September and have a great summer. – J
The library will be obtaining copies that you can pick up at the reference desk. Linda just recently requested the copies so you might want to contact the library (715-365-1070) to make sure they have them to check out for your summer reading.
