Monday, September 14th at the Rhinelander District Library from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm. in the lower level conference room
It’s hard to believe that summer is behind us, and we have fall to look forward to. The NPT Book Club is starting back up for another season and we are inviting all members and guests to join us. The NPT Book Club monthly meeting will be Monday, September 14th at the Rhinelander District Library from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm. in the lower level conference room. All NPT members are invited to attend any of the monthly meetings. The major theme of the books that are selected are based on some aspect of nature. You’re welcome to join in at any time, or just sit in and listen to our lively discussions. The book read over the summer and will be discussed on September 14th is a novel entitled The Loop by Nicholas Evans. (Author of The Horse Whisperer.) The story centers around Helen Ross, a biologist who comes to Montana to try to save the wolves that are being indiscriminately slaughtered by ranchers and townsfolk. There is an ancient hatred toward wolves in Hope, MT and it isn’t an easy task to change people’s thinking of this endangered animal. After the discussion the members present will decide on our next book to read. We hope to see you there. – J
