Sat. Oct. 24, 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm, NPT 18th Annual Scavenger Hunt, Hike & Potluck, Perch Lake Shelter, Washburn Lake Silent Sports Area
Every year near the end of October, there are a group of strange critters that migrate to the Perch Lake/ Washburn Lake Trail System. They hide along the trails.
One of our Northern Paddle & Trail activities is trying to spot as many as possible. We hike together in groups and see how many critters each Team can identify.
After our scavenger hike, which starts at 2:30 p.m.., we get together to share stories during a Potluck Dinner.
For the potluck dinner which starts at 5:00 p.m., bring some food to share. There will be hot drinks, paper plates & plastic tableware furnished.
We will meet at the Judy Swank, Perch Lake Shelter. The potluck will be either outside by the fireplace or inside depending on the weather.
It is always a great time for Challenge, Fellowship, and Great Food

Directions from Rhinelander: (app. 15 min) Intersection of Hwy 47 and Hwy K, take Hwy K west of Rhinelander; turn left onto Washburn Lake Road; then left onto Trout Creek Road. Lastly, turn right onto the gravel County Park Road which will end at the Perch Lake Shelter, 7650 County Park Road, Rhinelander
