    Saturday, April 18th Annual Midwest Crane Count,   5:30-7:30 am,  location TBD in the Rhinelander Area  This is a unique opportunity for all NPT members to get involved in a statewide citizen science activity in the Rhinelander area.  The first organized count took place in 1981 by the International Crane Foundation.  Each year in mid-April, volunteers throughout the Upper Midwest travel to their local wetlands and favorite birding locations to participate in the crane count.  This annual survey of Sandhill and Whooping Cranes spans over 150 counties in seven states, including Wisconsin and portions of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, and Minnesota.    NPT…

  • 4/23 Pickleball at the Hodag Dome

    Rhinelander Hodag Dome on Thursday, April 23rd, From 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Come join the fun and play pickleball with other NPT players at the Both experienced and new players are encouraged to participate. We have two courts reserved; one will be dedicated to those who need help with court rules, scoring, and gameplay. Extra paddles will be available if you need one.
